Overview

MIDI Harmonizer is a music application. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

MIDI Harmonizer does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All processing happens entirely on your device. No information ever leaves your iPhone or iPad.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any of the following:

  • Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or crash reports
  • Audio recordings or audio data
  • Contacts, calendars, photos, or media
  • Browsing history or search history
  • Financial or payment information
  • Health or fitness data

MIDI Data

MIDI Harmonizer receives MIDI signals from external devices (keyboards, controllers) connected to your iPhone or iPad via USB, the Lightning/USB-C port, or Bluetooth MIDI. This MIDI data — note events, velocity, channel information — is:

  • Processed entirely on-device in real time
  • Never recorded, stored persistently, or written to disk
  • Never transmitted over the internet or to any server
  • Used exclusively to generate harmonic accompaniment during your session

When you close the app, all MIDI data in memory is discarded.

Local Storage

MIDI Harmonizer stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • App settings and preferences (harmonization mode, split point, MIDI channel configuration)
  • Custom presets you create and save

This data is stored using Apple's standard local storage mechanisms (UserDefaults / app sandbox). It remains on your device at all times and is never synced to any external server. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the app.

Third-Party Services

MIDI Harmonizer does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. No third party receives any data from this app.

Audio Unit (AUv3) Plugins

MIDI Harmonizer can route MIDI output to third-party Audio Unit v3 (AUv3) plugins installed on your device. Any data handling performed by those plugins is governed by their own privacy policies. MIDI Harmonizer does not control or monitor how third-party plugins use MIDI data.

Children's Privacy

MIDI Harmonizer does not collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13. The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations worldwide.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Since no personal data is collected, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in any material way.
